Flower Pond with China Glaze Shell-o

Hello all!  I really loved the look of my first flower pond manicure, so I did another one - this time using China Glaze Shell-o, a bright neon coral jelly.  I believe I used three coats of Shell-o in total, with Illamasqua Scorch dotted between coats, underneath the first coat and on top of the last coat.

It turned out so beautifully, and Shell-o is so bright and eye-catching.  I used more flowers than I did last time and I think the effect is much better; the pond manicure style is so much fun to play with, and I definitely recommend trying it out!

Green Dotticure with Barry M, Zoya and China Glaze

Hello all!  I'm loving dotticures more and more recently - they're so easy and provide so many possibilities.  I chose a number of green polishes for a dotticure gradient and I love how it turned out.

I started with two coats of Barry M Key Lime, a creamy light green.  I then dotted from the cuticle with Zoya Hunter, China Glaze Starboard and Zoya Ivanka (for some added sparkle!)  I finished with KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Sation Strumming My Nails

Hello all!  Just a quick swatch for you today - this is Sation Strumming My Nails, which is the most perfect white creme that I've ever tried.  It is completely opaque in two coats and application is smooth and easy.

It's everything that I hoped OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls would be (I can't get the OPI opaque in two coats, sadly) and I know that this polish will be my go-to white base for all sorts of things.

KBShimmer Get Clover It + Four Leaf Clover Stamping

Hello all!  I have a clover mani to show you, using the gorgeous KBShimmer Get Clover It.  The Moyou London Fairytale Plate 02 has a four leaf clover image so I thought I had to use that too!

Get Clover It is a dark green jelly base with gold and turquoise circle glitter as well as gold microglitter.  It applies very easily (I love the KBShimmer brush) and I'm wearing three coats here with just one coat of top coat.  I love that there are only circle glitters in this polish.

On my accent nails, I'm wearing two easy coats of Zoya Hunter, along with the four leaf clovers stamped with Dance Legend Wazowski.

I really loved how this mani turned out!

Layla Turquoise Wave

Hello all!  I have a simple swatch for you today - this is Layla Turquoise Wave, a gorgeous shimmery magnetic polish.  Great application, great colour and I really like the magnetic effect!

I'm wearing two coats here.  The polish is opaque in one coat but I find that you get a better effect with the magnet when there's another coat on top.  The magnet effect is very good, and the parts of the nail it doesn't reach (the curved sides of mine) aren't very noticeable.  I also found that top coat doesn't smear it as much as the other magnetic polish (OPI Is That Silva?) that I've tried.

Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99.9

Hello all!  It's my birthday this week and I'm wearing a simple glitterbomb manicure.  I used Elevation Polish Mount Cangyan as my base and topped it with Lynnderella Love Potion No. 99.9.

Pictured above is two coats of Mount Cangyan - it's still not opaque at this point, but since I was wearing such a dense glitter on top, I didn't bother with a third coat.  The polish has a gorgeous shimmer that I think would shine through so much better with another coat, or if it was worn over a dark purple/indigo base colour.

Love Potion No. 99.9 is an absolutely glorious polish, I'm so glad I bought it.  It's made up of purple glitter of various shapes and sizes along with red microglitter.  While I do love jelly/glitter indie polishes, there's something about glitterbombs I can't resist - I think it's how they turn out looking like crushed gemstones on your fingertips.  Love Potion No. 99.9 definitely achieves this look, and does it beautifully.

I topped this manicure with a coat of Essence Gel-Look and a coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast.  This tamed the glitter very well and gave a smooth enough finish.

Blue/Aqua/Purple Water Marble

Hello all!  I've got a full water marble to show you today - after watching some tutorials (particularly My Simple Little Pleasures) I decided to go ahead and try marbling all four of my fingers at once.  I'm too lazy to do another whole marble for my thumb, so I left them plain.

For this design, I started with two coats of Sation Lollipop Goes The Princess.  The polish is a very pale purple, it applied smoothly and was opaque in two coats.  Unfortunately this polish didn't work well for me when marbling, so I used Essie Find Me An Oasis instead, along with China Glaze That's Shore Bright and China Glaze For Audrey.

I'm so pleased with how this manicure turned out, I feel like I'm getting the hang of water marbling.  I think most of the secret is finding nail polish that spreads well in the water and doesn't dry too quickly!  The Essie and both China Glazes worked very well and I didn't have any trouble dipping all four of my nails at once; it definitely saves lots of time!

Below you can see Lollipop Goes The Princess on its own on my thumb.
